Some while just sitting/idling with Firefox and some background apps running(steam, corsair software for CPU water cooler, corsair software for keyboard, logitech software for mouse/headset, idrive, MBAM pro, roboform, etc), one or two while gaming, and one this morning while working in an RDP session.Įvent logs show nothing leading up to the freeze and then it spits out the usual 'unexpected shutdown' events, indicating this isn't software related. I believe there have been 6 so far, each one occurring completely randomly.

Over the last 2 months this machine has suffered from random freezes, just sits on last frame with no sound and requires hard reboot. No overclock on CPU or GPU, all the usual CPU power-saving stuff in BIOS is disabled. Specs are Windows 10 Home 64-bit, AMD FX8350 Black Edition, Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z(latest BIOS), XFX R9 280 3GB Double D Black Edition, 16gb Crucial Ballistix DDR3-1600(4x4gb), Corshair HX 850, Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5' SSD OS drive, 2x WD Black 1TB 3.5' as secondary/file storage drives.
